As many of you know, we’ve been talking about taking a once-in-a-lifetime, Masonic-oriented trip out to Washington, D.C. and the surrounding area. Well, after working with a travel agent in Elgin who has proven to be very helpful, I have the following update for all who are interested:
Dates
Leaving from O’Hare on Wednesday, September 1st at 8 a.m. Flying United Airlines. Return trip leaves Washington on Sunday, September 5th at 4:45 p.m. Also flying back on United
Hotel
We’ll be staying at the Marriott Courtyard on Connecticut Ave NW, right next to the National Zoo. I’ve stayed here before and it is a great location, right near the Metro (which will pretty much take us anywhere we want to go), about six or eight blocks from the Scottish Rite Temple and close to some nightlife areas with dining, music, etc.
We can have king or two double beds. A continental breakfast is included with the room.
