DeKalb Masons Scottish Rite, Scottish Rite coming to DeKalb Masonic Lodge, Valley of Freeport Scottish Rite, what is the Scottish Rite
In addition to a fantastic presentation by Brother Alan Hubble of Grove Lodge on the meaning of our many Masonic words, Brother Roger Carson (and a couple others) of the Valley of Freeport, Scottish Rite, will be coming to our Lodge to speak about the Scottish Rite in our area.
This evening is open only to Brother Master Masons (sorry, Brothers Entered Apprentices and Fellowcraft — here’s another reason to work hard to become Master Masons!) due to the topic of Brother Hubble’s presentation.
The Scottish Rite — like the York Rite — is an Appendant Body of the Blue Lodge and open to any Mason who has attained the Master Mason degree. Come on out and enjoy a glimpse into “the other Rite.”
