As many of you know, our Chapter of Royal Arch Masons holds four fundraiser dinners in May, June, July and August of each year, to help offset some of our expenses (rent to the Temple Association, updated costumes and props for rituals, per capita fees) as well as allow us to help charitable organizations.
This past June, we did pretty well (not nearly as well as in May) and are going to be donating $100 each to Hope Haven and Safe Passage — two very needy organizations. Hope Haven is one of our local homeless shelters while Safe Passage provides for the needs of those abused in a domestic or sexual assault.
Brothers, we are looking to make regular contributions to these charities and need your help in selling tickets for our pork chop dinner fundraisers. While we truly appreciate you purchasing them for yourself and family, we really need assistance in getting tickets sold to friends, neighbors and others in the community.
If you can take some time to ask around and let people know that not only are they getting a great meal at a wonderful price ($10 per ticket), they are supporting two of DeKalb’s neediest charities. For tickets, please call Jim Tome at 815-508-3878 or e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
July’s fundraiser is Wednesday, July 21st and the last day to sell tickets is Thursday, July 15th. Thank you, Brothers, for your help.
