Companions of DeKalb Council No. 80/U.D. of Cryptic Masons, you’re going to want to mark the evening of Thursday, October 28th down on your calendars (or why not subscribe to the DeKalb Masonic Google Calendar and know what’s coming up on your PC or smartphone? Click here!).

DeKalb Council will be hosting a special “Knights of Ish Sodi Night” where past recipients of this Grand Council of Cryptic Masons honor will be joining us for a night of fellowship and Masonic education.

Over 70 recipients of this coveted award are invited to attend — with members of their Council — for a special “white linen” catered dinner, a presentation on the honor by Hugh Cole, creator of the degree ritual and Brad Baker, who plays the largest part in conferring the degree. Past winners will also share their impressions and memories of receiving this honor.

Brothers and Companions, this will be one fantastic evening of Masonic experience! Never before has any Council of Cryptic Masons in the State of Illinois planned and hosted an event like this. If you’re a Cryptic Mason, it’s a must-attend event. And if you’d like to become a Cryptic Mason, simply e-mail or call our Council Thrice Illustrious Master, Jim Tome — we have a special degree evening coming up on Wednesday, October 13th out at the James C. Lovig Sr. Council in Geneva, where many of us from DeKalb Council regularly attend.

Reservations are required for dinner, so contact or see TIM Jim Tome by Friday, October 22nd. Cost is to be determined, but likely in the $15 range.
