DeKalb Council to Visit Local, Sister Council
Companions of DeKalb Council of Cryptic Masons, if you’re not busy this Thursday evening, make plans to join your Thrice Illustrious Master, Jim Tome, as we visit our sister Council, James C. Lovig Sr. Council in Geneva.
We’ll be coming strong with the intention of taking JCL’s Council trowel as a part of the Grand Council’s Trowel Visitation Program.
The Trowel Visitation Program is intended to encourage Councils throughout Illinois to visit other Councils, engage in fellowship and introduce a touch of competition — the visiting Council can “steal” the “home” Council’s engraved trowel and bring it back to their Council. The Council that had the trowel stolen then needs to send at least two Companions back to retrieve it.
We’ll be leaving Sycamore about 6:30 pm if you’re interested — we need at least two Companions to steal JCL’s trowel. Let DeKalb TIM, Jim Tome, know if you’d like to join him by e-mailing him at dekalb.mason@gmail.com or calling 815-508-3878.
